This document is a legal binding contract which supersedes any other agreements or representations by or between the parties and is intended to provide a comprehensive release of liability, but is not intended to assert any claims or defense which are prohibited by law. I understand and agree that this agreement will be interpreted pursuant to all laws. If any portion of this agreement is deemed unenforceable, the remainder shall be given full force and effect. I understand that this is a legally binding agreement. I understand that all adult riders should and children are required by law to wear a bicycle helmet whenever riding a bicycle particularly when it is power assisted as in this case. I understand that aluminum forks are not to be used with any electric hub motor. I understand that the converted electric bicycle is subject to all laws of the road and that many states and localities have additional laws, which may specifically apply to this converted electric bicycle. I understand that the converted electric bicycle must be equipped with reflectors and that while reflectors may increase the visibility of the electric bicycle, they cannot guarantee the safety and visibility of the rider. Accordingly, I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to equip the converted electric bicycle with legally required lights if it is to be ridden at night. I understand that the electric bicycle conversion kit must be installed by a qualified professional that can guarantee the unit is installed properly adhering to adequate practices and industry standards. I understand that regular maintenance is required to keep the converted electric bicycle operating properly, that failure to properly maintain the converted electric bicycle may render the vehicle unsafe. Regular maintenance includes but it is not limited to daily inspection of all quick release mechanisms, wheel retention devices, wiring, battery pack holder, handlebars and brakes. As a general rule bikes with aluminium frames are not the best for converting to an e-bike. Although rare, the extra battery weight and extra forces due to the motor there may be risk of some failure in the frame or forks. I understand that the warranty to any of the electric bicycle conversion kits from the seller or distributor is six months days on all Electrical components. SLA batteries are not covered by warranty. Special ordered LiFePo4 batteries are covered by the supplier (12 months). Warranty does not cover: SLA Batteries, Abuse, Neglect, Crash Damage, Theft, use of the Motor or Controller in an inappropriate application, Improper installation, using batteries greater than 48 volts. By ordering any item from San Diego Electric Bike, you indicate that you have read and understood this. This is a release of liability. I understand and agree with the terms of this assumption of risk, indemnification. |

| Electric bikes are legally bikes and can be ridden in bike lanes and on bike trails in most locations. That means big safety advantages over motorcycles and scooters because you don't have to mix with automobiles. Or, get caught in traffic . bicycles vary by jurisdiction. To use these higher speeds, you may need to register your bike as a moped, operate off road only, or stay under the radar, literally. In practice though, in most locations pollution free transport is encouraged and no one seems to notice if you go a bit fast now and then. Just be courteous to other road users and especially pedestrians. |

Interested Customer; We have successfully combined the latest Brushless Golden Motor Controller with a Wilderness Energy Motor (5 times). The Controller will handle up to 60 volts (Note: a 48v LiFePo4 can charge up to 60 volts). The power from the increased voltage is awesome & you wil get about 1000 watts from the motor. The Wilderness energy motor will handle up to 72 volts so there is no problem here. It takes about a week to get the controller. The controller will initially sense the voltage input from the battery and recognize there is no hall sensors to the WE motor. After you pedal approx 2-3 mph.... the controller will apply pulses to the three main motor phase wires and off you go. You will get better performance from the complete electric bike if you can pedal with the motor. I recommend a 11-30t rear freewheel ($30), and a 39-53t Chain-Ring ($75). Installation included. Controller preparation could take up to 10 days from the time I receive funds (depending on Inventory & schedule). $10 Shipping $200 External Brushless Controller With Thumb Throttle, Cruise control, Electric Brake (motor cut-off) Prepared and tested for the Wilderness Energy 600 watt Brushless Motor.
